South African young people are encouraged to apply for the Department of Agriculture (DoA) Bursaries for 2026 academic year. The objective of these scholarships is to help persons who have been marginalized in the past, particularly those from rural and low-income communities, and who want to study in vital agricultural sectors.

BSc Eng. Agricultural (Bioresource) Engineering Level 6 (70–79%)
Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) Level 6 (70–79%)
BSc Agric. Entomology Level 5 (60–69%)
BSc Agric. Food Science Level 5 (60–69%)
BSc Agric. Animal Science Level 5 (60–69%)
BSc Agric. Plant Pathology Level 5 (60–69%)
BSc Agric. Soil Science Level 5 (60–69%)
BSc Agric. Agronomy Level 5 (60–69%)
BSc Agric. Viticulture and Oenology Level 5 (60–69%)
BAS Food Science and Technology Level 4 (50–59%)
Diploma in Food Technology Level 4 (50–59%)

Those from low-income and rural regions are given priority.

verified duplicate of South African ID
mid-year Grade 12 results if currently in matric, or certified Grade 12 results
University acceptance letter, which may be submitted later, within three days after the publication of matric results
Income verification from parents (No affidavits accepted)
